Kaylin Louise “Lyn-a-Lou” Schmidt, age 18, of Mankato, died Monday, November 30, 2015, at her home.
Funeral Service will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 5, 2015, at New Creation World Outreach Church in North Mankato. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.
Kaylin was born March 16, 1997, in Le Sueur to Kenneth and Sandra (Schultz) Schmidt. She attended school in Cleveland, Le Sueur, and most recently at the Kato Public Charter School. Kaylin was employed with Welsh Heritage Farms in Lake Crystal. She was a past member of the Church of Christ in Cleveland and current member of New Creation World Outreach. Kaylin was a spiritual person who enjoyed art, singing, music, and animals.
Kaylin is survived by her father, Kenneth of Mankato; mother, Sandra and her fiancée, Tommy Garcera of Mankato; three sisters, Krystalin (Ryan) Brockberg of Sleepy Eye, and Katalin and Kelsey Schmidt, both of Mankato; two brothers, Kenneth Schmidt Jr. and Kole Schmidt, both of Mankato; three nieces, Annabelle and Gracelin Brockberg, and Abigail Schmidt; three nephews, Zechariah and Nehemiah Brockberg, and Joshua Schmidt; grandmothers, Darlene Schmidt of Cleveland and Bernice Schultz of Le Sueur; special friend, Adam Fletcher; also many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, James Schmidt and Kenneth Schultz; uncle, Larry Schmidt; and aunt, Brenda Schmidt.
