Isaac Randall Koenig, age 14, of North Mankato, died Thursday, November 19, 2015, at his home.

A Celebration of Isaac’s Life will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday at the church. Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Isaac was born April 27, 2001, to Randall and Holly (Hinz) Koenig in Shakopee. Isaac grew up and attended elementary school in Jordan. He moved with his family to North Mankato and started 6th grade at Garfield Elementary. He attended Dakota Meadows Middle School and was currently a freshman at Mankato West High School. He was active in cross country, track, and soccer. Isaac enjoyed hunting, fishing, and downhill skiing.

Isaac is survived by his parents, Randall and Holly of North Mankato; brother, Dillon Hinz (Ashley Elwell) of Mission, TX; paternal grandmother, Nora Koenig of Elk River; close cousin and friend, Nick Remker; also many other cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Isaac was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Raymond Koenig; maternal grandparents, Maynard and Eloise Hinz; and three uncles, Tom Remker, Jason Hinz, and Robert Koenig.
