Marion Elizabeth Lamoreux

Riverfront Drive Mankato, Minnesota 56001 507-388-2202 Marion Elizabeth Lamoreux, born Marion Elizabeth Harris was the ninth child of Eugene and Amelia Harris of Foreman Arkansas. God breathed life into Marion on October 11, 1926 and took her back to His embrace, October 27, 2015. She died peacefully at home. Marion is survived by her only child Joseph Harris Lamoreaux of Minnetonka MN. Marion shared stories of growing up in Foreman, adventures of travels in the U.S. and finally landing in Minnesota where she worked in munitions plant during WWII. Marion lived most of her life in Mankato where she raised her son, moving to Eden Prairie in 2011 and moving in with her son and husband Bert Schmidt this past summer. Her presence, stories and maternal wisdom will be missed. She enjoyed watching birds and wild life at the feeders, flowers in the yard, crocheting and coloring. Marion was preceded in death by her husband Dale Lameroux and her eight siblings. No public memorial services are to be held.
