Mankato Mortuary 1001 N. Riverfront Drive Mankato, MN 56001 (507) 388-2202 Betty Ann Ness, age 94, of Mankato, died Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Oaklawn Healthcare Center in Mankato. Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 31, 2015, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in North Mankato. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Interment was in Beauford Oak Hill Cemetery. Mankato Mortuary handled the arrangements. Betty was born September 7, 1921, in Mankato to William and Emma (Krieg) Palmer. She married Jasper Ness on January 24, 1940, in Forrest City, IA. They had two sons, James and Larry. In the 1960's, after the boys were out of school, Betty and Jasper moved to Lolo, MT where they lived for thirty years. Jasper had a stroke in 1993, so they moved back to Mankato to be by their sons and families. Betty was baptized April 27, 1996, and was a member of the North Mankato Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Betty is survived by her son, James (MaryJean) Ness; daughter-in-law, Penny Ness Lund; six grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jasper; son, Larry; two brothers and two sisters.
