Trojan, age 88, of North Mankato was called to be with his Lord Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 26, 2015, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Mankato with Rev. Keith Siverly, officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m., Sunday at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato and will continue one hour before service at the church on Monday. Interment will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Memorials may be given to St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Frank, the eldest son of a Czech immigrant, was born October 2, 1927, to Francis and Mary (Shidla) Trojan in St. Paul. He served his country with the U.S. Coast Guard on the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Bibb from 1945-47 as a Fireman Second Class. After his honorable discharge Frank worked for the Omaha Railroad in St. Paul as an apprentice steam fitter. From 1949-57 Frank was a Route Salesman for the Tassie Bakery and Consumer Dairy in Saint Paul. In 1957 he began a successful career with the Prudential Insurance Company as a Life Insurance Agent. On February 16, 1963 he was united in marriage to Helen I. Meyer in Farmington, WI. In 1968 after receiving his GED he was promoted into middle management with Prudential. In 1983 he semi-retired with Minnesota Mutual as a sales agent and also moderated classes for the Life Underwriting Training Council (LUTC) and Mankato Vo-Tech School finally retiring in 2000. Frank was an active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. In retirement Frank was a volunteer driver for VINE. He enjoyed cribbage, golf, fishing, family & friends. Frank is survived by his children, Frank Trojan of Missouri, Robert (Cindy) Trojan of Minnetonka, Amy Trojan of Richfield; four grandchildren, Anthony (Dulcey) Lawler of Apple Valley, Joshua, Ciara, and Aleah Trojan of Minnetonka; great-grandson, Slade Lawler; sister, Margaret "Margie" Trojan of St. Paul; many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Helen on March 21, 2002; sister, Mary Lou Vogelgesang; brother, Richard "Dick" Trojan.
