Mankato Mortuary 1001 N. Riverfront Dr. Mankato, MN 56001 (507) 388-2202 Janet Kay Dobie, age 57, of Amboy, died on Friday, October 16, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Hosanna Lutheran Church with Rev. Mike Omtvedt officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Private burial will be in Sterling Cemetery in Sterling Township. Janet was born on September 23, 1958 in St. Joseph, MO to Richard and June (Calvert) Boeh. She graduated from Wathena High School in Wathena, KS in 1976. Janet graduated from Mankato State University in 1982 with a degree in social work. On September 2, 1978, Janet was united in marriage to Kenneth Dobie at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Amboy. Janet was a social worker at the Janesville Nursing Home, the Mapleton Community Home and Oaklawn Health Care Center. She loved watching sports, especially NASCAR. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, and her dog, Junior. Most of all, Janet enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter. Janet is survived by her husband, Ken of Amboy; two daughters, Jamie (Blake) Radtke of New Richland and Kate Dobie of Brisbane, Australia; granddaughter, Charlotte Radtke; sisters-in-law, Jessica Price-Boeh of Hendersonville, NC, Ranae Olson of St. Paul, Cheryl (Dale) Ziegler of Lennox, S.D., and Doreen (Art) Tenneson of Frost, MN; brother, Buddy (Janeth) Danner of Conway, AR; mother-in-law, Audrey Cooper of North Mankato; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Rick Boeh.
