Riverfront Drive Mankato, Minnesota 56001 507-388-2202 Eunice Cranston, age 92, of Mankato passed away at the Laurel Peaks Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, October 3rd, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10th at the First Presbyterian Church in Mankato. A visitation preceding the service starting at 10:00 will also be held at the First Presbyterian Church. Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family. Eunice Mae Cranston was born on October 25th, 1922 to Louis and Mary Frederickson in Morgan, Minnesota. She graduated from Morgan High School in 1940 and from Macalester College in 1945. Eunice's first teaching job was teaching Home Economics at Westbrook High School. For many years, while raising a family, Eunice was a regular substitute teacher at Mankato Junior High Schools and Mankato West High School and also did some homebound teaching. Her last and favorite employment was as a biology lab instructor at University of Minnesota Waseca. Eunice enjoyed spending time with family, particularly her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, sewing, knitting, quilting, cooking, playing cards, being at the lake and being an active member of her church. Eunice was a proverbial caregiver always thinking of others. Eunice is survived by her husband, Bernard; son Michael and his wife JeeLoo Liu of Irvine, CA and their children Collin of Los Angeles, CA and Dillon of Irvine, CA; daughter Lori Roxbury and her husband Gary of Denver, CO and their children Mary Engelken and her husband Caleb of San Francisco, CA and Brian of Curitiba, Brazil; daughter Jolene of Denver, CO; sister Jean Leonard of Cape Coral, FL; brother Dennis Fredrickson and his wife Marjorie of New Ulm, MN; sister Diane Raatz and her husband Robert of Kailua, Kona, HI and many nieces and nephews. Eunice is preceded in death by her parents; brother Milton Frederickson; brother Kenneth Frederickson; nephew Timothy Frederickson and nephew Donovan Raatz.
