Hage, age 89, of Mankato, died Thursday, October 1, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary. A Celebration of Maurine's life will be at 10:00 a.m., October 17, 2015 at Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary. Private family burial in Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Memorials are preferred to Good News Productions in Joplin, MO. Maurine was born October 18, 1925 to Floyd and Clara (Madson) Hammond in Madelia, MN. She graduated from Madelia High School in 1943. Maurine was united in marriage to Vernon Evenson of Lake Crystal in 1950, until his death in 1981. Together they were blessed with three daughters. In 1986 she was united in marriage to Harold Hage of Hanska, until his death in 2011. Maurine served the Lord with her many talents. She was the church organist and pianist for many years at the Eagle Lake Church of Christ and the River Valley Christian Church in New Ulm. Residents at Laurel's Edge Assisted Living also enjoyed listening to her play the piano. Maurine sang for several years in the Mankato Women's Glee Club and Sweet Adelines. She loved to work with her hands by sewing, quilting, doing needlework and puzzles. Maurine also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Maurine is survived by her daughters, Paula (Dave) Erickson, Colorado Springs, CO, and Patrice (Chuck) Parsons, Mankato; grandchildren, Nathan (Kellie) Brooks, Luke (Holly) Erickson, Brady (Brianna) Erickson, Jaclyn (Jordan) Cachiaras, Leah (Logan) Justice, and Jordann, Heidi, and Kjersten Parsons; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; stepchildren, Sharon (Larry) Hopp, Sandy (Bill) Grace, and Steve Hage; 4 step-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Vivian Monsen and Ettie Faye Palmer; and many nieces and nephews. Maurine was preceded in death by her husbands, Vernon and Harold; daughter, Pamela Brooks; sisters, Florence Woese and Mildred Lemke; and brother, Wayne Hammond.
