Denn, age 67, of Mapleton, died peacefully on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato after a long struggle with illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, October 7 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Teresa Catholic Church with Father Jason Kern officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the church with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also continue one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will be at Union Cemetery. Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Gloria was born on April 18, 1948 in Mankato to Daniel and Hazel (Dingler) Wilson. She graduated from Rapidan High School. On May 4, 1984, Gloria was united in marriage to Richard Denn. Gloria worked for Mankato Tent and Awning, Casey's, and the Beauford Country Store. She was a past member of the VFW Auxiliary. Gloria enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, sewing, playing cards and computer games, watching cooking and home improvements shows and going to the casinos. In earlier years she enjoyed fishing, camping, and summer vacations with the Carey Family. She loved living in the country and watching the wild life. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Gloria is survived by her husband, Rick; son, Tom; three grandchildren, Kasandra, Jonathan and his fiancé Kristina Petersen, and Allison Denn; two sisters, Betty Holocker and Peggy (Harold) Elder; brother, Danny (Sue) Wilson; mother-in-law, Dolores Denn; brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barb Wilson; brothers, Ernie and Delbert Wilson; niece, Candy Wilson; father-in-law, Loren Denn; and sister-in-law, Gloria Wilson.
