Mankato Mortuary 1001 N. Riverfront Dr. Mankato, MN 56001 (507) 388-2202 Milan Karabelli, age 80, of Mankato, died on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Mankato Mortuary with Chaplain Jacek Soroka officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Mankato Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Mayo Clinic Health Systems Hospice. Milan was born on December 31, 1934 in Modra, Slovakia to Jan and Maria (Slavikova) Karabelli. Milan is survived by his daughter, Maria Karabelli and fiancé Steve Meister of Mankato; special companion, Anna Moore; grandchildren, Michelle (Mike) Giffin, Joseph (Amanda) Thissen, Tim (Kate) Meister and their children, Stephanie (Kelly) Leer, Douglas Meister, and Andrea (Adam) Mitlyng; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Joey, Jonathan, Lili, Ethan, Logan, and Avery. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter; and brother.
