Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Mankato Mortuary with Rev Andy Olsem officiating. Visitation one hour before the service. Burial will be in New Ulm Catholic Cemetery. Lauretta was born October 7, 1924, to Alfred and Thresia (Matsch) Lang on their family farm. She attended country school. In her teenage years she worked at the Dakota Hotel in New Ulm. Lauretta was united in marriage to Stanley Sporer on August 6, 1946. Stan and Lauretta jointly managed the Mobile Station in Mankato from 1950 thru 1966 and her nickname at the station was "Queeny". From 1966 to 1990 she worked at Mankato Paper and Box Co. before retiring. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed her lawn, gardening, sewing, reading, and TV westerns. Lauretta is survived by her sister, Agnes and (Art) Meier of New Ulm; sister-in-law, Viola Lang of Winthrop; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; husband Stanley July 3, 1978; infant sister, Mildred; four brothers, Norbert (Alma), Raymond (Clara), Arnold, and Walter (Lucille).
