Mankato Mortuary 1001 N. Riverfront Drive Mankato, MN 56001 (507) 388-2202 Lorraine Marcella Lundin, age 97, of Mankato, died Monday, August 31, 2015 at the Janesville Nursing Home. Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 p.m., September 12, 2015 at Hilltop United Methodist Church, Mankato with Pastor Kelly McCuaig, officiating. A luncheon will follow the service. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Mankato. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., September 11, at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before service at the church on September 12. Memorials may be given to Hilltop United Methodist or the Alzheimer's Association. Lorraine was born February 6, 1918 to Herbert Francis and Ellen E. (Swenson) Revier in Northfield. She graduated from Northfield High School and Mankato Commercial College. She was united in marriage to LeRoy O. Lundin on September 29, 1945 in Mankato. After their marriage they moved to Oklahoma for a year and then to New York State where LeRoy was involved with construction. They returned to Mankato in 1973. Lorraine worked for Mankato Oil for several years and was a homemaker for her family. Lorraine was an active member of Hilltop United Methodist Church. Lorraine and her sister, Eileen started the tradition of making Peanut Brittle which is sold during the Christmas Festival at Hilltop Methodist. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge. Lorraine enjoyed enjoyed playing cards, knitting, needle point and embroidery, and crossword puzzles. Lorraine is survived by her three children, LeRoy R. "Skip" (Patricia) Lundin of Crossville, TN, Larry R. (Barbara) Lundin of Kingston, MA; Lana R. (Daniel) Held of Elysian; seven grandchildren, Nathan Lundin, Adam (Tina) Lundin, Eric Lundin, Matthew Lundin, Sarah Lundin, Jamie Johnson and, Kevin Held; five great-grandchildren, Carter, Paige, and Blake Lundin, Brock and Avery Johnson; several nieces and nephews. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRoy on May 12, 2008; two sisters, Marion Diederik and Eileen Strobel; two brothers, Leonard Revier and Roger Revier.
