Loretta Mary Larson, age 93 of Mankato, died Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Laurel's Edge Assisted Living. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 31, 2015 at Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 p.m., Sunday at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary 2060 Commerce Drive North Mankato. Visitation also one hour before the service at the church on Monday. Loretta was born April 12, 1922 to John and Julia (Lang) Kruse in Kerkoven, Minnesota. She graduated in 1940 from Pemberton High School. Being a homemaker, Loretta used her talents in the Drapery Department at Brett's and later started her own drapery business out of her home. Loretta was a long time active member of Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church and Bridge Club with friends. Her favorite activity was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and traveling to Europe to visit her relatives. Loretta is survived by her children, Dan (Margaret) Larson, Mankato; Joel (Beverly) Larson, Mankato; Kris (Marc) Erlandson Richmond VA; Mary Jane (Ron) Riley, North Wales PA; Jessie (Scott) Vogel, Rosemount MN; fifteen grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; 3 sister-in laws, Lila Larson, Lorraine Carpenter Kruse, and LaVonne Kruse. Preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers; Lester Kruse, Johnny Kruse, Gene Kruse, Robert Kruse and Dan Kruse. With good moral fabric and guidance from above, she created a family and sewed it with love. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association or Mayo Clinic Hospice.
