Northview~North Mankato Mortuary 2060 Commerce Drive North Mankato, MN 56003 (507) 388-2288 Kurtiss E. Beck, age 50, of North Mankato, died on Monday, August 17, 2015 at his home. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church with Rev. Erica Koser officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the church and will continue one hour prior to the service. Northview-North Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are preferred to MSU Hockey. Kurtiss was born on July 27, 1965 in Owatonna, MN to Keith and Donna (Ganiere) Beck. He graduated from Owatonna High School and graduated with a bachelor degree from Mankato State University. On December 20, 1986 Kurt was united in marriage to Robin Berkner. Kurt was employed with National Recognition Products. He enjoyed camping, NASCAR, MSU Hockey, and racing remote control cars with his brother. Kurt took pride in his yard. He was involved in various committees at Centenary United Methodist Church. Kurt earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Kurt is survived by his wife, Robin; two daughters, Elizabeth Beck and Nicole Beck (Taylor Possail); grandson, Jackson Behrns; parents, Keith and Donna Beck; brother, Ken (Kris) Beck; mother and father-in-law, Robert and Sharon Berkner; brother-in-law, Rick (Julie) Berkner; sisters-in-law, Stacey Witt and Heidi Berkner; and several nieces and nephews.
