Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary 2060 Commerce Drive North Mankato, Minnesota 56003 507-388-2288 Ronald W. Mutch, age 86, of Mankato, died Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Oaklawn Health Care Center. A Celebration of Ron's Life will be 11:00 a.m., Monday August 10, 2015 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with Rev. Jay Dahlvang officiating. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m., Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before the service at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Ronald was born December 5, 1928 to William and Jesse (Hislop) Mutch in Mankato. He was baptized in the First Congregational Church. Ronald graduated from high school in 1947, and went on to serve his country in the US Army. He was discharged in 1948 from Ft. Lawson, Washington. On September 23, 1951 he was united in marriage to Eunice Westlund at First Lutheran Church in St. James by Rev. Herman Soderberg. Ronald went on to farm and started working as a pipefitter for the Trade Local 561 in 1959. He retired in 1987. Ronald enjoyed spending his winters in Jensen Beach, Florida since 1976, wood carving, and fishing. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Nettles Island Wood Carvers - Men's Club. Ronald is survived by his wife, Eunice; children, Merle Mutch, Cindy (Dave) Hokeness, Gary (Barb) Mutch, and Scott Mutch; grandsons, Brian and Brent Hokeness; sister, Kathryn Thorson; and brother, Leslie (LaVon) Mutch. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rhoda (Rich) Santoro; and brothers, Kenneth, Glenn, and Harold.
