Michael Dean Resner

Mankato Mortuary 1001 N. Riverfront Dr. Mankato, MN 56001 (507) 388-2202 Michael "Mike" Resner, age 46, of Mankato, died on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Laurel's Peak. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 7 at 3:00 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Rapidan. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Rapidan. Michael was born on February 22, 1969 in Mankato to Joseph and Donna (Huebner) Resner. He attended Rapidan Elementary School and graduated from Mankato West High School in 1987. Mike worked at McDonald's, Waste Management, Wakefield Pork, and Rollodocks. He also had his own DJ business, M.I.C. DJ and Sound. Mike volunteered for many different organizations: the Blue Earth County Fair, helped on Jack McGowans Farm, West Alumni events, JO Announcing, and he loved helping farmers with haying. Mike was a member of Orange Spectacular, an Allis Chalmers Tractor Club in Hutchinson. Mike collected toy tractors, enjoyed going to farm shows, toy tractor shows, and TV land. His favorite memory was pulling a John Deere tractor through the entire St. Peter parade with his Allis Chalmers tractor. Mike is survived by his mother, Donna Resner of Mankato; brother, Steven Resner of Dubai, United Arab Emirates; sister, Mari Kay Resner of Lake Crystal; aunt, Jane (Gene) Griffin of Good Thunder; uncles, Larry Resner of Champlin and Jeff (Judy) Resner of North Mankato; nephew, Alex Resner of North Mankato; nieces, Lauren and Meghan Resner of Mankato, Elizabeth Wright of Garden City, and Emily and Ashley Wright of Lake Crystal; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
