Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary 2060 Commerce Drive North Mankato, MN 56001 507-388-2288 Kathy E. Ohman, 75 of Mankato died on July 30th in a tragic car accident. Visitation is Monday August 3rd from 4:00-8:00 pm. at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary. Services will be held on Tuesday August 4th at 11:00 am, at Christ the King Lutheran Church. Kathy was born November 16, 1939, in Pottstown, Pennsylvania the daughter of Kenneth Burk and Clara Rhoads. She was one of three children. She graduated high school from Pottstown High School. Upon graduation she relocated to Minneapolis to attend McConnell Airline School. She spent most of her adult life in the Mankato area. Kathy married Robert Ohman on February 14, 1958, and they had 3 children.. In 1999 she married Rod Elbert and they resided in N. Mankato, MN, and Glendale, AZ. Together they enjoyed line dancing, socializing and traveling. Kathy enjoyed, dancing, playing piano, tennis and staying active. Kathy was a member of the Friendship Force, which allowed her to both host and travel the world. She enjoyed teaching dance aerobics and line dancing classes. She spent her winters in Arizona where she had a busy social life, full of friends. She is survived by her children Mick Ohman of Minneapolis, MN, Mitzi (Steve) Roberts of Lake Crystal, MN, Mindy Ohman of St. Paul, MN , step children Rod (Peg) Elbert, Paige (Joe) , Melissa (Buck) , Kara (John) Schott, 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Sibling Dotsy (Larry) Eddinger and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother.
