Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary 2060 Commerce Drive North Mankato, MN 56001 (507) 388-2288 William Walter "Bill" Hogan, age 61, of Mankato, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, with Rev. Paul Rider officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Friday at Northview, and continues one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will be in Minneopa Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the donor's choice. Bill was born July 10, 1954, in Minneapolis to Joe and Barbara (Moline) Hogan. He was a 1972 graduate of Mankato High School and attended Southwest Technical College in Jackson. Bill was united in marriage to Joan Groen on August 22, 1986, in Mankato. He later married Lori Schroeder on January 20, 2001, in Mankato. Bill was employed for many years with Rome Reichel Construction and later with Schmidt Siding and Windows. He was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation. Bill was an avid bow hunter who also enjoyed fishing, canoeing, woodworking, and spending time at the family cabin in Nisswa. Bill is survived by his parents, Joe and Barbara Hogan; two brothers, Larry G. (Sherry Lowe) Hogan and Joe D. (Lisa Donahue) Hogan, all of North Mankato; niece, Laura (Joshua) McNamara of Mankato; nephew, Chris Hogan of Mankato; grandnephew and grandniece, Connor and Kaylin McNamara; three step-sons, Michael (Cara) Groen of North Mankato, Jared Vanderberg of Chicago, IL, and Travis Vanderberg of Quantico, VA; aunts, uncles, other family, and friends; and his beloved pets, Deacon and Lily. He was preceded in death by his wives, Joan in 1997 and Lori in 2014.
