Nesheim, 94, of North Mankato, died Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato after a short illness. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July, 25, 2015, at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Mankato, the Rev. Patrick Patterson officiating. Burial will be in the East Lutheran Cemetery, Rake, IA. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Dorothy was born in Rake, IA, February 12, 1921, to Fred and Fern (Pomeroy) Havnen. She graduated from Rake High School in 1938. Dorothy married Wallace B. Nesheim, on December 23, 1939. They lived in Rake, IA and Frost, MN areas for 30 years where she was employed at Jensvolds, Inc. In 1967 they moved to Mankato where she was employed by Oaklawn Health Care Center before retiring. She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Mankato. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Mary and her husband John Teigland of Hastings, MN; four grandchildren, Jamie Scott, Peter Teigland, Heidi McCabe, and Jennifer Siebenaler; nine great-grandchildren, Lauren Schluenz, Alec Schluenz, Madeline and Anna McCabe, Ben and John Teigland, Molly, Luke, and Jake Siebenaler; sister-in-law, Sylvia Nesheim of Mankato. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace and daughter, Wallene Salfer.
