Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home 307 Main Street NE Mapleton, MN 56065 507-524-3616 Kevin J. Swalve, 60, of Mapleton, died Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at MCHS-Mankato with his family by his side. Memorial Service will be at 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 24, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church - Mapleton. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. at church. Burial in Union Cemetery. Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home is assisting the family. Kevin was born January 14, 1955 to Lewis and Beverly (Fox) Swalve in Winnebago County, Iowa. He graduated from Thompson Iowa High School and went on to work in Agriculture. Kevin began working for Frank Bros., and stayed in Agriculture, working for WFS in Mapleton. He was a past member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Kevin enjoyed reading, gardening, had a love for all animals, and spending time with his kids and grandkids. He will be deeply missed. Kevin had no enemies, got along with everyone and had a great sense of humor. As he would say, "Carry on." Kevin is survived by his sons, Nicolas, William (Megan), and Joseph (Emily); daughter, Bobbie; grandchildren, Jesseah, Chelsey, Dylan, Tristan, Natalie, Logan, Elizabeth, Ryanne, Alexis, and Sullivan; father, Lewis (Donna) Swalve; and brothers and sisters, Morgan Adams, Merlin Swalve, Rex Swalve, Kim Swalve, Jill Fox, Beth Swalve, Raymond Swalve, and Lyman Martinson. Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Martinson; and sister, Gail Potter.
