Ronald "Pete" V. Peterson

"Pete" Peterson, having spent the past year coping with cancer, Ron found peace Sunday, July 19, 2015 at home in Lake Crystal. A visitation will be held from 4 - 6 p.m., Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the Lake Crystal Mortuary. A Private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Blue Earth Nicollet County Humane Society or the Crystal Waters Project P.O. Box 330, Lake Crystal, MN 56055. Ronald was born August 6, 1941 to Verner Carl and Elizabeth Emma (Renz) Peterson in Duluth, MN. He graduated from Duluth Morgan Park High School and attended the University of MN - Duluth. Ron served in the United States Marine Corps. On June 12, 1970 he was united in marriage to Elaine L. Charland Pearson. He retired from Katolight Corp/MTU Onsite Energy in 2009, after over 40 years of service. His love of the outdoors encompassed hunting, fishing, and skiing. Ron was an avid sports fan; he had the most fun on trips to Target Field to cheer on the MN Twins - win or lose. "Favorite Foods" he never met a Ruby Trout, Walleye filet, or Beef Tenderloin that he didn't enjoy. "Best Vacation Location" Colorado in the winter. His pride and joy were his twin Shih Tzus, Tony and Tina. Ron is survived by his wife, Elaine; son, Joe, both of Lake Crystal; sister, Jeanette (Arnie) Zack of White Bear Lake; nephew, Mark (Shari) Zack of Hugo; and niece, Jane (Artie) Neumeister of Cottage Grove. Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
