Riverfront Drive Mankato, MN 56001 (507) 388-2202 Steven Lloyd "Skeeter" Hendley, age 74, of Cleveland, MN, died on Monday, July 13, 2015, at the Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato. A Private Graveside Service will be held at Marysburg Catholic Cemetery, with Rev. Robert Schneider officiating. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor's choice. Steven was born on June 16, 1941, in Mankato to Lloyd and Irma (Wagner) Hendley. He graduated from Loyola High School in 1959. Steve served in the United States Marines from 1959-1963. After serving in the Marines he joined the family business, Hendley's Inc. On November 20, 1965, Steve was united in marriage to Rose Drexler in Springfield. Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading. Steve is survived by his wife, Rose of Cleveland; two children, Liz (Marty) Blaschko of Cleveland and Erik Hendley of North Mankato; two grandchildren, Bekah and Mitchell Blaschko; brother, Michael (Diana) of St. Louis Park; sister, Kathy (Arlo) Hurley of Mankato; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Alex; two brothers, James and Patrick; and sister-in-law, Mary.
