Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary 2060 Commerce Drive North Mankato, Minnesota 56003 507-388-2288 John Albert Dickerman, age 69, of Mankato, died unexpectedly in an accident on Friday, July 10, 2015. Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 16, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato, MN. Visitation is 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Northview North Mankato Mortuary and one hour before the church service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to San Lucas Mission or donor's choice. John was born on December 18, 1945 to Richard and Virginia (Dolan) Dickerman in Yakima, WA. His parents moved to Maynard, MN and then to Mankato, MN. He graduated from Loyola High School in 1964 and Mankato State University with a double major in Mathematics and Industrial Arts. John married Joyce Knutson on December 29, 1973. John was a co-owner of WEB Construction, Inc. for 35+ years until retirement. He continued to mentor young individuals in the construction industry until his passing. John enjoyed snowmobiling in Wyoming, ATV riding and volunteering with the Woodtick Wheelers ATV club where he became a trail ambassador for the DNR, and working at the cabin on Boy Lake. He traveled to San Lucas Mission in Guatemala the past seven years to volunteer and was an active member of St. John the Baptist Church. He was dedicated to his family, friends, and community. He put God first and died with a rosary in his pocket. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He will live forever with God and in our hearts. John is survived by his wife, Joyce; his five children, Jolene of Mankato, MN; Jimmy and his wife, Lisa their children Everett and Oliver of Mounds View, MN; Joe and his daughter Gracie of Cody, WY; Jonathan and his wife, Shari and their children Tucker and Gigi of North Mankato, MN; Jennifer and her fiance Ben Kroon of Maple Grove, MN; brothers, Bob (Anne), Greg (Sandy), Rich (Joyce), Mike (Katie) and sisters, Theresa Roy (Doug), Betsy Stringer (Tom), and Ginny Ives (Eb); sister-in-laws, Karen Caldwell (Randy), Barb Knutson, Pam Puleston, and Lucretia Knutson. John was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Virginia Dickerman; father and mother in-law Everett and Dorothy Knutson; brother-in-law, Gary Knutson; grandparents; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
