Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home 307 Main Street NE Mapleton, MN 56065 Donald Burton Fezler, age 79, of Mapleton, died Saturday, June 20, 2015, at his residence. Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 25, 2015, at the United Church of Mapleton, with Pastor Ava Adams-Morris officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery in Mapleton. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the church, and continues one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Olson - Tichenor Funeral Home handled the arrangements. Donald was born June 12, 1936, in Blue Earth. He was the son of Kerte and Nena (Garner) Fezler. Don was a 1954 graduate of Mapleton High School. He was united in marriage to Darlene Davis on February 25, 1956, in Connersville, IN. Don wore many hats working as a mason, mechanic, and carpenter. He was also with Continental Can for ten years and the Blue Earth County Highway Department for fifteen years. Don was a member of the United Church of Mapleton, the NRA, and the Wells Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool, singing, and playing music on his guitar, banjo, and harmonica. Donald is survived by his wife, Darlene of Mapleton; four children, Connie (Tim) McGregor of Minnesota Lake, Nena (Bill) Schumacher of Mankato, Donna Strehlo of Minnesota Lake, and Kerte Fezler of Mapleton; six grandchildren, Jesse Bolin, Jason (special friend, Monica) Bolin, Justin (special friend, Ashley) Strehlo, Cole (special friend, Kailey) Schumacher, Julia (Brandon) Omtvedt, and Bailey Fezler; three great-grandchildren, Skylar Larsen, Maya Spees, and Connor Schumacher; also cousins, other family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Greg.
