Lake Crystal Mortuary 648 S. Main Street Lake Crystal, MN 56055 (507) 726-6161 Vera Mae Wigley, age 87, of Lake Crystal, died Friday, June 5, 2015, at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Lake Crystal. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday at Lake Crystal Mortuary and will continue one hour before service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be in Minneopa Cemetery, rural Mankato. Vera Mae was born May 15, 1928 to Elmer A. and Elizabeth (Wittrock) Randall in Stillwater. She moved with her family to Lake Crystal in the 2nd grade and graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1946 and later from Mankato State Teachers College. She student taught in a country school in Beauford and then taught in Milroy, Worthington, Garden City, Lake Crystal and Windom. Vera Mae was united in marriage to Valdon "Val" L. Wigley on August 22, 1969 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lake Crystal. She enjoyed spending time with her Wednesday morning coffee group, her "Crafty Girls" group, reading, and watching sporting events. Vera Mae is survived by her husband, Val of Lake Crystal; sister, Carol (George) Hertel of Yucca Valley, CA; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth (Mike) Swanson of Burnsville, Joe Hertel of Burnsville, Jim (Joanna) Hertel of Fullerton, CA, Maria Hardisty of Los Altos, CA, Linda (Fred) Wichelhaus of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Julie (John) Fitzpatrick of Claremont, CA, Lynn M. (Marilyn) Putrah of Longmont, CO, Timothy (Tamara) Randall of CA, Tom Randall of Claremont, CA; Mike Wigley and family, Margaret (Dick) DeLapp, Sue (Ron) Zappa, Steve (Jane) Lange, Barb Lang all of Minneapolis. Vera Mae was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Elmer C. "Tim" (Corrine) Randall; sister, Gerry (Richard) Lange; and niece, Donna Hertel.
