Riverfront Drive Mankato, MN 56001 (507) 388-2202 Stella Maurushis, age 94, of Mankato, MN, formerly of Florida, died Friday, June 5, 2015, at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato. A Memorial Service, followed by interment, will be held in Florida at a later date. Mankato Mortuary handled the arrangements. Stella was born April 24, 1921, in LaPorte, IN. She had been a resident of Mankato for the past eleven years. Stella will be remembered for her devotion to her family and as a fun-loving, independent lady. Stella is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Glend) of Mankato; three grandchildren, Tracy (Todd) Stutz of Dellwood, Cheryl (Steven) Jamieson of Orlando, FL, and Merrill (Lynn) May of Amarillo, TX; four great-grandchildren, Michael, Caroline, Olivia, and Anna; sister, Jane Fehner of Pompano Beach, FL; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John in 1975; and three sisters. Her family would like to acknowledge with gratitude the family support, and the respect, comfort and loving care given to Stella by the staff at Hillcrest Health Care Center and Hospice.
