Mankato Mortuary 1001 N. Riverfront Drive Mankato, MN 56001 (507) 388-2202 Bobby J. "Chappy" "Stymie" Chapman, age 71, of Garden City, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Pathstone Living in Mankato. A Memorial Visitation Celebrating his life will be held from 3-7 p.m., Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the Wellcome Memorial Community Room in Garden City. Mankato Mortuary assisted with arrangements. Bob was born September 2, 1943 to James T. and Goldia (Pickett) Chapman in Princeton, Indiana. He married Louise Holland in 1968 and they later divorced. He married Alice J. Reinhart in 1970. Bob worked for National Tank Maintenance Corporation, JMF, Carney's Insulation, and Kato Sanitation/Waste Management for 24 ½ years before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, softball, bowling, telling jokes and gathering with friends and family. Bob is survived by his wife, Alice; son, Jim (Pam) Chapman of Madison, Wisconsin; daughter, Gerry (Mike) Stewig of Good Thunder; grandchildren, Zack, Abby, Nick, Sam, and Jessica Chapman, Ben and TJ Stewig; three siblings, Betty Mounts, Agnes Coomer, and Gloria Bell; nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; six siblings, JR, Billy, Bonnie Lou, Sam, Jerry Don, and John; his hunting dog, Babe; and his first wife, Louise.
