Visitation and a luncheon will be held at Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary, Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Robert was born February 9, 1937 to Evelyn (Addleman) Haslip and Edwin "Bud" Haslip in Mankato. He graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1955. He was previously married to Kay Schmidt, with whom he had two children, Lori and Zane. In 1963, Bob married Sherrie (Ward) and had four children, Bret, Wade, Ryan and Yvette. Bob's worked 30 years with the Minnesota Department of Transportation as a surveyor and bridge inspector. He was also the owner of Marway Mobile Home Park and other rental property. His favorite pastime was fixing and repairing old cars. If the car was old and didn't work, Bob would pay premium price to get it back on the road. He also loved spending time with his family and working on who knows what. He is survived by his wife, Sherrie of St. Peter; children, Lori Langsweirdt of University Place, WA, Zane Watts of Mankato, Bret Haslip of Kasota, Wade Haslip of Andover, Ryan (Andrea) Haslip of Andover and Yvette (Mike) Voss of St. Peter; brothers and sisters, Gary (Jeanne) Haslip, Brenda (George) Black, Ronald (JoAnne) Haslip, Gregory (Mary) Haslip and Karen (Tim) Beech; grandchildren, Lana (Matt) Hansen, Luke (Kortini) Langsdweirdt, Brendon Watts, Amber Hagan, Dakota Haslip, Austin (Special friend, Danica Meist) Haslip, Addison Haslip-Voss, and Dalton Voss; great grandchildren, Rosalind Hansen, Kira Haslip, and Duke Langsdweirdt; many special nieces, nephews, and close friends and family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; mother and stepfather, Evelyn and Ervin; father and stepmother, Edwin "Bud" and Leona; brothers, Harlan "Hank" and Pershing "Snooky"; and his aunts and uncles.
