Mankato Mortuary 1001 North Riverfront Drive Mankato, MN 56001 507-388-2202 Jeanette R. Schulz, age 84, of Wells, Minnesota, died Thursday, April 23, at Oak Terrace, North Mankato. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2015, a 5 p.m. memorial service followed by burial and dinner. All will be held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, rural Minnesota Lake. Mankato Mortuary assisted with arrangements. Jeanette was born on September 18, 1930 to Percy and Sophie (Krohnberg) Bartelt, Waldorf, MN and married Howard Schulz at Salem Evangelical United Brethren in Wells April 13, 1950. She then joined Howard at St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Four children were born to this union: Sharon (Rick) LaVallie-Wells, Scott-Bricelyn, Shelly (Dan Pfeiffer)-Mankato, Sally (Mark) Chaffee-Sonora, CA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Jill (St. Peter), Katie (Mankato), Ann (Wells) and John Jay Niebuhr (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), Andy (Mankato) and Lucas (Mankato) Schulz Pfeiffer and Garrick (Jacksonville, FL) and Sarah (Sonoma, CA) Chaffee, and sister, Mary Lou Radtke, Bena, MN. She is preceded in death by her husband Howard Schulz in February 1989; parents; a sister-Marvel Niebuhr, and brother, Gordon Bartelt. Special thanks to staff at Oak Terrace, North Mankato, for excellent care throughout her stay and during final days of her life.
