Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home 307 Main St. E. Mapleton, MN 56065 (507) 524-3616 James "Hutch" Cramer, age 97, of Mapleton, died on Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Mapleton Community Home. A memorial service will be held on May 9 at 11:00 a.m. at the Beauford United Methodist Church with Rev. Clint Firstbrook and Rev. Ashley Whitaker officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Beauford at a later date. Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Hutch was born on September 13, 1917 in Beauford Township to George and Mary (Will) Cramer. He served in the United States Army Air Force from 1942 to 1945. On June 16, 1949 Hutch was united in marriage to Kathryn Gosen in Delft, MN. He lived in Beauford all of his life on the family homestead. Hutch was a member of the Heather Curling Club, an active member at church, and a volunteer with Farmamerica. He enjoyed mowing his lawn, feeding the birds, but most of all loved visiting with friends and family. Hutch is survived by his wife, Kathryn of Mapleton; two daughters, Joanne Cramer of Mapleton and Mary Pat Kasell of Savage; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Cramer of Mapleton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Jay Kasell; and brother, Don.
