Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home 307 Main St. E. Mapleton, MN 56065 (507) 524-3616 Thomas "Tom" M. Hicks, 54, of Mapleton, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at his home. A memorial service will be held Monday, April 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Bible Church in Mapleton with Rev. Betty Johnson officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the church and will continue one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Union Cemetery. Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Thomas was born on June 1, 1960 in Wells to Hallie and DeLores (Roalson) Hicks. On September 6, 1980, Tom was united in marriage to Margaret Jaster in St. Peter. He was most recently working at Protein Sources in Mapleton. Tom loved the outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed ice fishing, hunting, and going to flea markets. He restored antique furniture and bikes. He was the best at smoking meats. Tom is survived by wife, Maggie; sons, Tom II Urban-Hicks (Amber) and Justin (Rebecca); six grandchildren, Morgaine, Olivia, and Sophie Urban, Trey Wigand, Anastacia Hubert, and Alexis Hicks; brother, Jim (Linda) Hicks; sister, Margaret (Steve) Current; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents; brother, Ken; and nephew, Greg.
