Mankato Mortuary 1001 N. Riverfront Dr. Mankato, MN 56001 (507) 388-2202 Daniel Duane Larson, age 56, of Mankato, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015 at his home of pancreatic cancer. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 23 at 12:00 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Lauer officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:30-12:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Daniel was born on April 23, 1958 in Mankato to Kenneth and Betty (Severson) Larson. He lived in Mankato and the Kasota area all of his life. He was united in marriage to Jennifer Joy Gens on September 7, 1985 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Mankato. He worked with his brother Randy at Larson Repair for the last 3 ½ years. Dan's passion was racing. It was a hobby that he and his children enjoyed. Dan and his brother Randy were the mechanics along with friends and family helping out as their pit crew. Dan enjoyed playing softball. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Dan is survived by his wife, Jennifer; son, Eric (Rebecca) Larson; two daughters, Kristine (Nathan) Buesing and Ashley Larson (Mathew House); mother, Betty M. Larson; father, Kenneth P. Larson (Yvonne Tesch); seven grandchildren, Hope, Khia, Miah, and Isabel Buesing, Abby and Joanna Larson, and Lori House; sister, Cathy Winkler (Ricky Bleess); four brothers, Randy (Chris) Larson, James Larson (Julie Smith), Kerry Larson and Dean Larson. He was preceded in death by his baby daughter Gens; mother-in-law, Shirley Gens; brother-in-law, Vernon Winkler; and grandmother, Alma Severson.
