(Wiedenheft) Geistfeld, age 91 of Gaylord and formerly of Mankato, died Sunday, April 19, 2015 surrounded by her daughters at Oak Terrace assisted living in Gaylord. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday April 24, 2015 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Paul Lauer officiating. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Good Thunder, MN. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church on Friday. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Carmen K. Geistfeld was born March 28, 1924 to George and Martha (Hobeck) Kroehler in Faribault, MN. She graduated from Henderson High School and also graduated from Mankato Commercial College. Carmen was united in marriage to Robert Wiedenheft on October 1, 1944 in Henderson. Robert died in 1964. Carmen was married to Emil Geistfeld on August 29, 1981 in Good Thunder. Emil died in 1999. Carmen was a homemaker for her family and when the children left home, she worked at Mankato Area Vo-Tech and later for MSU Business College as a secretary. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Mankato and was active in LWML, Bible Study and choir. Carmen enjoyed cooking, music, reading, sewing and most of all her family. Carmen is survived by her three daughters, Georgann (David) Hiller of Apple Valley, MN, Gail Armstrong of Gaylord, MN, Nancy (Paul) Cloeter of Sauk Rapids, MN; six step-children, Vinton (Claire) Geistfeld, Ruth (Joel) Hanson, Tom (Theresa) Geistfeld, Ted (Judy) Geistfeld, Luther (Jean Geistfeld, and Faith (Scott) Bergemann; 23 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren; sister Carol Mueller of Arlington, MN; brother-in-law, Jim Schultz of Madelia, MN; sister-in-law, Phyllis Kroehler; nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, sister, Loraine Schultz; brother, George Kroehler Jr.
