Riverfront Drive Mankato, Minnesota 56001 507-388-2202 Bonita "Bonnie" McCarty, age 67, of Mankato died unexpectedly, Friday, April 10, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato. Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with Rev. Paul Nolting, officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. and continue until the service at church. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Bonnie was born July 21, 1947 in Marquette, MI to Charles and Phyllis (McCarty) Gutzman. She graduated from Marquette High School and went on to attend Immanuel Lutheran College in Eau Claire, WI. Bonnie earned her Bachelor of Science from Mankato State University in 1990. She was united in marriage to David Lueck, May 6, 1967 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Together they were blessed with four children, though they later divorced. Bonnie was a devoted mother, talented writer and advocate for various causes. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Bonnie fully embraced her Irish heritage. She also enjoyed traveling, live music and loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and friends. Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Lara (Todd) Meadows; sons, Mark Lueck, Eric (Hillary) Lueck, and Adam Lueck; grandchildren, Ethan and Stella Lueck, and Victor and Evan Meadows; sisters, Barb Mayworm and Bev (Rudy) Rott; brother, Tim (Deb) Gutzman; and many other family and friends. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Harold "Buddy" Gutzman.
