Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary 2060 Commerce Drive North Mankato, MN 56003 507-388-2288 Mass of Christian Burial for Shawn Reynolds, age 50 of Mankato will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March, 26, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will continue from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 am at church on Thursday morning. Burial will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery. Shawn Patrick Reynolds was born December 21, 1964 to Pat "Lefty" and Patsy Reynolds, the middle of three sons. Growing up in Sleepy Eye, Shawn graduated in 1983 from St. Mary's Catholic High School where he enjoyed playing football, hockey and baseball. He married LuAnn Krzmarzick May 22, 1993 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. Together, they raised three children: Emily, Mackenzie and Jacob. Shawn was so proud to be their dad and was excited to see their dreams unfold. He took a very active role in their lives; coaching Mackenzie and Jacob's sport teams. As a family, they enjoyed seeing the world; whether it was trips to Ely, Minnesota or to the beaches of Mexico. In his free time, Shawn officiated high school basketball and football. Shawn enjoyed his annual deer hunting trip with his family. Shawn loved playing golf at the Mankato Golf Club, where he was a member. During his golfing career, Shawn had three hole-in-ones, the first of which won him a 2012 GMC Terrain! Shawn worked various jobs with Grow Biz International, General Trading, and Miracle Ear; where he learned the art of sales. In 2010, Shawn started Reynolds Custom Hearing in Mankato and Belle Plaine. He gave many hours to Loyola Catholic School, acting as Holy Rosary's representative on the Loyola Advisory and Finance Council. He was an active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Most of all, Shawn made life fun. Even though his life seemed short, Shawn lived it in a big way. Shawn passed away at his home on March 22, 2015. Shawn is survived by his wife, LuAnn; children, Emily, Mackenzie and Jacob, all of Mankato; parents, Pat "Lefty" and Patsy of Sleepy Eye; brothers, Terry (Cheryl) of North Mankato and Mike (Nancy) of Rogers; brothers and sisters-in-law, Elaine (Jim) Mickelson, Luverne (Rosie) Krzmarzick, Dianne (Mel) Alfred, Dennis (Diane) Krzmarzick, Sharon (Roger) Hoffmann, Alvin (Barb) Krzmarzick, Shirley (Tony) Schroepfer, Eugene (Julie) Krzmarzick, Clete Krzmarzick, Brenda (Spike) Schroepfer, Kathy (Steve) Wersal, Deb (Paul) Schmitz, Leon (Kim) Krzmarzick; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Linus G. and Angeline Krzmarzick; sister-in-law, Debbie Sue Krzmarzick; godmother and aunt, Ginny Stamps. Memorials preferred to the family, Loyola Catholic Schools, or Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
