Riverfron Drive Mankato, Minnesota 56001 507-388-2202 "DQ Grandma" Molly Galli, age 95, of Mankato (formerly of Hibbing), MN, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato surrounded by her family. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 525 Grant Ave., North Mankato, MN with Fr. Paul van de Crommert officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing, MN in the spring. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Molly was born in Hibbing, MN to Joseph and Francis (Virshek) Petrick on September 13, 1919. She graduated number one in her class at Chisholm High School, Chisholm, MN. Her first job was at Woolworth as a clerk and quickly worked up to Assistant Manager. Molly was united in marriage to Emil Galli in 1943. Molly was then a homemaker for years and raised her only son. She then worked part time as a seamstress for Arrow Shirt Company until 1955. At the age of 70, she went to work side by side with her son and granddaughters at Dairy Queen West in Mankato, MN. She even was awarded the title of "Vice President of the Hotdog Stand." She was a very hard worker, kind hearted and loved "playing store." She claimed those were the best years of her life. Molly is survived by her son, Joe (Vicki) Galli of Mankato; granddaughters, JoRae (Jason) Storm of North Mankato and Jennifer (Tim) Marshall of Mankato; great-granddaughter, Molly Marshall of Mankato; great-grandson, Bailey Marshall of Mankato; and step great-grandson, Trey Storm of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil; parents; 2 sisters; and 1 brother. Molly's family would like to send special thanks to the staff of the Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato for the wonderful comfort care they provided for Molly the last 6 days of her life.
