Lake Crystal Mortuary 648 S. Main Street Lake Crystal, Minnesota 56055 Doris Mae Spotts, age 80, of Lake Crystal, died Sunday, March 15, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Private Services will be held. Lake Crystal Mortuary assisted the family. Doris was born August 4, 1934 to Casper and Marie (Stelmachuck) Menne in Riverdale Township, MN. She graduated from Madelia High School in 1952, and later went on to graduate from South Central Technical College at age 60. Doris was united in marriage to Gary Spotts on March 25, 1953 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. Together they were blessed with two children. For many years, she worked as a civilian contractor for the US Air Force, Officer Personnel, and the Pentagon. Later, Doris worked in the business office for MN Pork Producers. She was a past member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and Holy Family Catholic Church. Doris enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, time on the boat, reading and trips to the casino. Above all, she loved her family and cherished every moment with them. Doris is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gary; daughter, Kathy Clair; son, Mike Spotts; ex-daughters-in-law, Susan Badia and Sandy Remington; grandchildren, Jason (Stacy) Spotts, Jennifer (Rick Grant) Spotts, Justin (Sara) Clair, Tiffany (Bob) Landgren, Jessica (Dan) White, Lisa Clair, J. Adam Spotts, and Angela and Cynthia Noble; 18 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Jeanette Cady; brother, Don Menne; sister-in-law, Sandy Gemlo; and many nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers; 1 sister; 1 sister-in-law; and niece, Julie.
