Henry "Hank" Hanson, age 72 of Mankato, died Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Oaklawn Heath Care Center in Mankato. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2015 at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary 2060 Commerce Drive North Mankato, Minnesota. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials. Henry "Hank" Hanson was born March 18, 1942 to Howard and Cecilia (Wingerberg) Hanson in Glendale, CA. Henry graduated from Loyola High School in 1960. He was united in marriage to Jill Miller on April 17, 1971. He worked as the director of ACBL and also worked at various places in and around Mankato. Henry would often say he was a "jack of all trades, master of none". Henry was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato. He enjoyed Sudoku and crossword puzzles. Henry also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and spending time with his family. Henry is survived by his wife Jill; three daughters, Elizabeth (Jason) Sommers of Hudson, WI, Jessica Hanson of North Mankato, MN, Cassie (Erik) Kindgren of North Mankato, MN; two sons, Peter Hanson of St. Peter, MN, Alexander Hanson of North Mankato, MN; nine grandchildren; mother, Cecilia Hanson of Mankato, MN; brother, Howard (Marilyn) Hanson of Mankato, MN; nieces and nephews.
