Mankato Mortuary 1001 N. Riverfront Dr. Mankato, MN 56001 (507) 388-2202 Darlene Alwina Tischer, age 78, of Good Thunder, died Monday, March 9, 2015 at Pathstone Living. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 13 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder with Rev. Rudolph H. Maurer Jr. officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Good Thunder. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Darlene was born on April 15, 1936 in Mankato to Herbert F. and Esther W. (Krienke) Habeck. She graduated from Waldorf High School. On October 25, 1958, Darlene was united in marriage to Dennis Tischer. She drove the special needs bus for the Amboy/Good Thunder School district. Darlene was a member of the ladies guild at St. John Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, and spending time with her grandchildren. Darlene is survived by her husband, Dennis of Good Thunder; two sons, Dale Tischer of Good Thunder and Danny (Nancy) Tischer of Blue Earth; two grandsons, Cody and Kyle of Blue Earth; siblings, Dareld (Bev) Habeck of St. Peter, Harriet (Norman) Gruntzke of Pequot Lakes, and Charlotte (Bob) Pahl of Vernon Center; sister-in-law, Jean (John) Heuchert of New Ulm; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Douglas; and sister, Gloria (Kenneth) Tischer.
