Lake Crystal Mortuary 648 S. Main St. Lake Crystal, MN 56055 Myron James Schutt, age 82, of Vernon Center, died suddenly at his home on Monday, March 2, 2015. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church in Vernon Center. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Lake Crystal Mortuary. Private family interment will be at the Vernon Center Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Madelia Community Hospital or Grace United Methodist Church. Myron was born September 28, 1932 in Milnor, N.D. to Fred and Lavina (Wilke) Schutt. At the age of 6 his family moved to Minnesota. He attended country school through 8th grade and graduated from Garden City High School in 1950. Myron was united in marriage to Joan Nobles on June 10, 1951. They lived and farmed in Ceresco Township all their lives. He was a member of Grace United Methodist church and served in the church in many capacities. He was also a member of the Vernon Center Cemetery Board. Myron will always be remembered for his love of his family and friends. He loved telling stories and playing cards. Myron is survived by his wife, Joan of Vernon Center; children, Catherine (Don) Dronen of Fargo, N.D. and Douglas (Sue) Schutt of Amboy, MN; five grandchildren, Amber (Nathan) Lawrence, Sam Schutt, Andrea (Dan) DeShano, Ross Schutt, and Jessa Dronen; two step-grandchildren, Lisa (Eric) Bue and Todd (Kelli) Dronen; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Carol (Delphin) Hohenstein; brother, Duane (Delores) Schutt; sister-in-law, Neva (Jim) Pfeffer; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Walter and Una Nobles; two brothers, Harris and Jerry; and sister-in-law, Pat Schutt.
