Northview - North Mankato Mortuary 2060 Commerce Drive North Mankato, MN 56003 Jody Ann Volk, age 44, of Lake Washington, died Thursday, February 26, 2015, surrounded by her family at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Mike Omtvedt, officiating. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery - North, Willow Creek at 10:00 a.m.,on Sunday, March 8, 2015. Visitation will be from 3 - 8 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2015, at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato. Visitation continues one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials directed to the Jody Volk Memorial for her daughters, Lexi and Alix at Voyager Bank, 101 N. 2nd Street, Mankato, MN 56001. Jody was born April 21, 1970 to James and Mary Ellen (Stangl) Wilde in Mankato, Minnesota. She attended St. John Lutheran School at Willow Creek and graduated from Maple River High School in 1988. Jody then graduated from the Mankato Cosmetology Center. Jody was united in marriage to Troy Volk on June 4, 2005 in Mankato. She was a homemaker and cosmetologist in the area and most recently worked at First Class Hair Design in North Mankato. Jody was a disciple of Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato and bible study fellowship. She was also a very active member of the Mankato Golf Club serving as President of the Women's board and other club boards. Jody was the former chair of Mankato Loyola School's, "Wired to the Heart Fundraiser" and volunteered for many organizations in the Mankato Area. Jody enjoyed being a dance mom, playing golf, book club, playing cards "pfeffer", traveling, boating, Maverick Hockey booster, and attending games and being a Minnesota Viking fan. Jody is survived by her husband, Troy Volk of Lake Washington; two daughters, Lexi and Alix Wolf; step-son, Travis Volk; her parents, Jim and Mary Ellen Wilde of Amboy; brother, Chad Wilde and Kim Stencel of Mapleton; mother-in-law, Carol Volk of Lawrenceburg, IN; grandmother, Gladys Wilde of Lewisville; nieces and nephews, Marissa, Tanner, Ellie, Brady, Serena, Jacob, Lucy and Trevor; brother-in-law, Wade (Katy) Volk of Mankato; aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jody was preceded in death by her grandparents, Conrad and Laura Stangl, Ronald and Mildred Wilde; and father-in-law, Rick Volk.
