Riverfront Drive Mankato, Minnesota 56001 507-388-2202 Michael John Miller, age 51, of Mankato, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday morning, February 21st, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Mankato, with Fr. Mariano Varela officiating. A visitation will be held 4-7 p.m., Monday, February 23, 2015 at the Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before the service at church. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to VINE Faith In Action. Michael was born December 22, 1963 to Roman and Edith (Hoehn) Miller in Mankato. He attended Catholic schools in the Mankato area and graduated from Loyola High School in 1982. Following high school he worked at Happy Chef, Alumacraft, and most recently VINE Faith In Action Community Center. He was united in marriage to Jodi Lynn Pautz in Mankato on October 8, 1999. Michael was an avid weather and sports enthusiast. He also enjoyed golf and fishing with family and friends. Michael is survived by his daughter, Annette; mother, Edith of Mankato; brothers, David (Lori) Miller, Robert (Rebecca) Miller, both of North Mankato; sisters, Diane (Gregory) Eichten of Rochester, MN, Kathleen (George) Ostgarden of Telluride, CO; nephews, Lee, Jon, and Eric; nieces, Jerrica and Annie; and great-nieces, Avalyn, Myka, Karli, and Madelyn. He was preceded in death by his father, Roman. The family wishes to send special thanks to Hospice of the Valley for their special care and concern, especially Sister Joyce and Sister Elise during Michael's final days, also VINE's great support and prayers for Michael.
