Reuben Quinton Johnson Jr.

Johnson Jr., age 86, of Madison Lake, died on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Oak Terrace Assisted Living. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Hosanna Lutheran Church. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery. Reuben was born on October 14, 1928 in Mankato to Reuben Sr. and Anna (Wilmes) Johnson. Reuben served in the United States Army during the Korean War. On August 23, 1958, Reuben was united in marriage to Beatrice Schlie in Janesville. Reuben worked at Wilbert Vault Company and drove school bus. He was a farmer in the Madison Lake area for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his dogs. Reuben is survived by his wife, Beatrice; children, Scott (Roxann), Randy (Donna), and Danell (Dale) Minter; grandchildren, April (Eric) Mebius, Brandon (Angelica) Johnson, Cory Johnson, Troy Johnson, Randi Johnson, Janelle Johnson, and Samantha Minter; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty (Donald) Ulman. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant son, Troy.
