After graduation she worked as a secretary for Truth Tool and Marlowe Milking Company. She married George B. Evans in April of 1959. The couple had two children and for a time Peg took care of children in her home, but returned to the work force at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital where she was a nursing secretary until 1989. Peggy took pride in her work and her family. She enjoyed travel in their camper all over the US and Canada. Peg loved animals and owned many dogs and cats throughout her life. She continued to walk in her neighborhood into her late 80's. We found that she was an avid journal writer and filled dozens of day booksoften including passages in shorthand. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bud, as well as her beloved George. She is survived by her children, Barrie Evans and his wife Kim; her daughter Sandra and her husband Gregg Martinson; grandchildren Sophia, Andie, Griffin and Truly Trio Evans, Megan and Sean Evans Martinson.
