Northview~North Mankato Mortuary 2060 Commerce Drive North Mankato, MN 56003 (507) 388-2288 Louise M. Wrucke, age 100, of Mankato, died on Friday, January 9, 2015, at Oaklawn Health Care Center. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 14 at 11:30 a.m. at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary with Rev. Rudolph H. Maurer Jr. officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Northview. Burial will be at Sterling Cemetery in Mapleton. Louise was born on May 13, 1914, on a farm in Medo Township, Blue Earth County to Louis and Anna (Honisch) Minkel. She graduated from Pemberton High School in 1932. She excelled in sports, especially basketball. On February 16, 1936, Louise was united in marriage to Henry Wrucke. They were blessed with three children. She worked as a quality control technician for Fairmont Canning Co. and Stokely Van Camp in Winnebago for 30 plus years. Louise was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Amboy. She taught Sunday school and was an active member in the ladies guild. Louise enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going to her grandchildren's events, gardening, doing crafts, and dancing. Louise is survived by son, Dean (Mary) Wrucke of Daytona Beach, FL; daughters, LaVon Schull of Mapleton and Judy (Jim) Ristine of Blaine; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, Janet Wrucke, Bruce (Loryn) Wrucke, David Schull and his children, Maxwell and Abigail, Mark (Lindsey) Schull and their children, Andrew, Ella, and Oliver, Brian (Teresa) Ristine and their children, Makala, Connor, and Braeden, Mitchell (Melanie) Ristine and their children, Isaac and Samuel, and Scott Ristine; brother, Wilbur Minkel; and sister, Elverna Tuenge. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry in 1979; son-in-law, Donald Schull; and sisters, Dorothy Esser, Irene Weingartz, and Elvina Scott.
