Mapleton, MN 56065 (507) 524-3616 Keith James Etherington, age 45, of Mapleton, died Sunday, December 28, 2014, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, following a construction accident. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2015, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Mapleton. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mapleton. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Friday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church and continues one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor's choice. Arrangements were handled by Olson - Tichenor Funeral Home. Keith was born on June 25, 1969, in Mankato. He was the son of Jerry and Judith (Bach) Etherington. Keith attended Mapleton-Amboy-Good Thunder High School and received an Associate's Degree from Mankato Technical Institute. He was employed with Honeymead for twelve years before joining Paape Distributing. Keith enjoyed fireworks, being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, working, and spending time with family. He was always willing to help a friend. Keith is survived by his daughter, Vanessa (special friend, Brandon Birr) Etherington; son and best friend, Damion Etherington, all of Good Thunder; grandson, Braelyn Birr; parents, Jerry and Judy Etherington of Mapleton; two brothers, Craig Etherington of Mankato and Kevin Jon Etherington of Mapleton; sisters, Teresa (Dan) Sohre of Mapleton and Ann Marie (special friend, Bill Reinbold) Etherington of Mankato; nephews and nieces, Nicholas Jon Etherington, Kelsey, Ella, Kyle, and Macy Sohre; also aunts, uncles, cousins, and his dog, Bucky. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
