Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home 307 Main Street Mapleton, Minnesota 56065 Iona Dalluge, age 96 of Mapleton and formerly of Good Thunder, died Thursday, December 25, 2014 at Heritage Place Assisted Living in Mapleton. Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder, with Rev. Rudolph H. Maurer, Jr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the time of the service at church. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Good Thunder. Memorials are preferred to St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder. Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Iona was born June 24, 1918 to Carl and Anna (Jelle) Johnson in Bricelyn Village, MN. She graduated from Delavan High School. On August 30, 1938, Iona was united in marriage to Carl Dalluge in Delavan. Together they were blessed with two daughters and one son. She was a dedicated, loving wife and mother. Iona was a homemaker and farm wife, but also candled eggs and bartended. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder. Iona enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, gardening, canning, and crocheting. Fishing held a special place in her heart, she made her final annual fishing trip to Leech Lake at the age of 96. Iona is survived by her daughters, DuAnn Zimmerman of Elmore and Onalee (Chuck) Slowinski of Mapleton; 7 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Clarine Norris; brother, Russell Johnson; sister-in-law, Shirley Johnson; and nieces and nephews. Iona was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; son, Gary; grandson, Brian Zimmerman; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters.
