Main Street Lake Crystal, MN 56055 (507) 726-6161 Doris Mary Jones, age 93, of North Mankato and formerly of Madelia, died Friday, December 5, 2014 at Oak Terrace Assisted Living in Mankato. Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at the First Presbyterian Church, Lake Crystal with Rev. Randal Lubbers, officiating. Visitation will one hour before service at church on Wednesday. Interment in Jerusalem Cemetery, rural Lake Crystal. Lake Crystal Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Doris was born January 10, 1921, to Evan and Eva (Davis) Roberts in New Ulm. She graduated from New Ulm High School in 1939. Doris was united in marriage to Lyle L. Jones on April 9, 1945 in Cambria. She worked for Carney Insulation as a bookkeeper for several years but her true love was being a homemaker for her family. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Crystal and the Presbyterian Women. Doris enjoyed golfing, fishing, cooking, and most of all, time spent being with and taking care of her family. Doris is survived by her two sons, Grant (Debra) Jones of Deadwood, SD, Burt Jones of Sint Maarten; five grandchildren, Stephanie (Kevin) Miller of Mankato, Jason (Andrea) Jones of Andover, Steven (Abby) Jones of East Bethel, Scott (Katy) Jones of Hudson, WI, and Jennifer Jones of Lake Crystal; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Roberts of New Ulm and Marion Sayler of Phoenix, AZ; brother-in-law, Roger Allen (Carol) Jones of Lake Crystal; nieces, nephews, and many extended family. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; son, Neil on July 11, 2012; husband, Lyle on September 7, 2012; twin sister, Loris (Howard) Williams on May 11, 2013; brother, Eldred "Barry" Roberts; two sisters-in-law, Sarah Ann "Sal" (Fred) Oehler and Helen (Clarence) Strusz.
