Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary 2060 Commerce Drive North Mankato, MN 56003 Mass of Christian Burial for Lucas Carruth, age 35 of Lake Crystal will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, at Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary and continue one hour prior to mass at the church on Wednesday morning. Lucas was born in Greeley, Colorado to Robert and Judy Carruth. Lucas loved being the only brother to his three sisters. As an adolescent, Lucas loved playing sports. In 1998, he graduated from his hometown high school, Fort Morgan High. In 2005, Lucas moved to Minnesota to start working for Wakefield Pork, Inc. In 2009, Lucas would meet Bridget Burger, the love of his life at Bobby Joe's Pub. It was always Lucas's dream to be a father; December 21, 2010 he became the proud dad of his oldest son, Joseph Lucas Carruth. Bridget and Lucas were married October 15, 2011, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. His family became complete April 15, 2013 when Lyle, his youngest son, was born. Luke's boys meant the world to him. He was so excited to raise his boys and see their dreams grow. Lucas also had two of the world's best friends; his dogs Raleigh and Tula. Lucas loved to be social and made friends wherever he went; whether it was playing softball in Good Thunder on Friday nights, shooting pool or playing a round of golf. He was a guy that was able to see people for what they were and recognized what they wanted to be. Lucas had a deep sense of religion and served the church in many ways; whether it was teaching baptism classes with his wife or being a part of the Knights of Columbus. Lucas died while working near Fairmont Wednesday, November 26, 2014; leaving many to miss him. Even though his life was short, he lived it in a big way. Lucas is survived by his wife Bridget and two sons, Joseph and Lyle of Lake Crystal; parents Rob and Judy Carruth of Fort Morgan, CO; sisters, Simone (WJ) Garvin, Megan(Nate) Fritzler, Cecile (David) Marquez; grandmothers, Jean Renshaw Fritzler and Alice Norton; parents-in-law, Mike and Brenda Burger; brothers-in-law, Jeremy (Andrea) Burger, Nick (Molly) Burger; uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was welcomed into Heaven by his grandpas Joseph Renshaw and F. Kent Carruth.
