Main Street Lake Crystal, Minnesota 56055 507-726-6161 James "Jim" Tuberg, age 88, of Lake Crystal, died Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 17, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Andrea Myers officiating. A visitation will be held one hour before the service at church. Burial will be in Lake Crystal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Zion Lutheran Church, Building Fund. Lake Crystal Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Jim was born June 29, 1926 to Frank and Julia (Torgerson) Tuberg in Goodahl, MN. He was confirmed in Zion Lutheran Church in Lake Crystal. Jim served his country in the U.S. Navy. In 1959, he was united in marriage to Laura Erdman. Jim was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lake Crystal. He was a truck driver for 32 years. Jim is survived by his son, Larry (Barb) Tuberg of Apple Valley; daughters, Cherry Tuberg and Cindy Reinhart of Mankato; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Laura in 2007; one sister; one brother; and his parents.
